The accession consists of one 35mm black and white film (732 feet) of the September 1952 eruption of Boqueron (also known as Barcena) volcano located on the Isla San Benedicto, the third largest and most northeasterly of the four Islas Revillagigedo in Baja California, Mexico. The film is labelled, "Origiinal on file at N.E.L., duplicate 35mm, 150' B-W Sept. 1952 by Anderson, 582' B-W 20 Sept. by Boldrick, 732' total, Bequeron Volcano in Eruption, A.F. Richards, SIO Probl. 25-E581-Action Dailys, 914-1/52 and 924-1/52." Adrian Frank Richards used this film in the course of his research for his April 1957 dissertation, entitled "Geology, Volcanology and Bathymetry of Isal San Benedicto, Mexico."
